The most important news is that we have received an award for the 3rd year in a row. We are very happy about this!

Winter got off to a slow start last year and still now it remains ‘quack weather’ here.

The weather here in Finland this year is very different from other years. 'Normally' it freezes at least 10 degrees here in January and February, to sometimes as low as -25 degrees.

Not so this year. At the moment, the weather is really miserable. Sometimes it freezes a little, sometimes it is above zero. At the moment, it's even raining and the remaining snow is melting fast. This does make the roads here in the forest dangerous, because the previously melted snow that has frozen again is slippery as hell. So time to put on the “spikes” under the shoes!

Our bookings via our own website finnishcottage.nl, via booking.com and via natuurhuisje.nl for this season are going well. Some frequently requested periods are already almost fully booked.

So don't wait too long to book!
